While John McCain’s popularity and poll numbers soar, I can’t help but wonder “where the heck have all the Conservatives gone?”

Are they throwing in the towel? Are they so frustrated about never having a true conservative candidate that they are simply giving up? It’s very tempting at times.

John McCain is by no means a conservative. He hangs his hat on national security issues like the surge, but please, his ignoring of our own border security actually contributes to our nation’s lack of security. His position on having troops in Iraq for up to 100 years is ludicrous. Finally, he can take his “reaching across the aisle” record of teaming up with Feingold, Kennedy or even Clinton and stick it where the sun don’t shine! To me, that is not “reaching across the aisle”, it’s more like “selling out”.

This nation needs a true conservative leader, one who will take a “classic republican” stance (you’ve heard of ‘classic rock’? I’m a ‘classic Republican’) and put this nation back on a traditional course.

Please, if you too are a “classic Republican”, don’t give up. Rally your friends to get to the polls and vote for a conservative. I have not been a Romney supporter (I support Paul), but with McCain’s surge, I’m getting scared. Scared enough to jump on Romney’s wagon and try to avert the ultimate disaster of electing a liberal. Electing Romney would be much better than the novelty of the first woman, the first black man, or even McCain, the donkey in an elephant suit.

 Fox news reported a few weeks ago that Nancy Pelosi was holding up a bill that would protect employers from being sued for having a english speaking standard for hiring. So if you don't speak a word of english and you are not hired because of it, you would not be able to sue for discrimination. But, Nancy says 'bullsh__'. Employers have no right to establish hiring standards in regards to language! Why do you think that Muslim workers at Walmart won't sell you pork because it's against their religion to handle it. Mrs. Pelosi says "not only can they dictate what they will or won't sell, but now they don't even have to explain it to you in English".
 Look, there are plenty of jobs out there that don't require English to perform them well, but there are plenty others that do. Who best to decide between the two than the business' themselves who's very existence relies on prudent decisions like hiring? I haven't heard anything lately on the bill, I guess I need to look it up, I've just been too caught up in the debates.
  Just another example of a woman in politics who really should be home knitting a sweater. What the hell are the citizens of Ca. smoking, to continue to vote her back to Washington DC.?
 The real scary part is if she is joined by a woman President, this whole country is destined to completely fall apart should that actually happen.
The price of poker is certainly going up next week. I'm not comforted in the least knowing that the fate of our country actually lies in the hands of people in the east and the south. You east coast folks really don't appear to be all that bright. But, that's the risk every four years, so here we go again.
 I hope the Pats win the Super Bowl, I want someone to unseat those old Dolphins. Besides that, I hate the Giants.
